The Resilient Wujimu Chapter of

 Wujimu History

The Wujimu Chapter is the 57th chapter of Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority Incorporated founded and established on April 7th 2017 at DePauw University in Greencastle Indiana by seven resilient women. The Wujimu chapter is proud of the seven different ethnicities that represent the Wujimu founding sisters' ethnic backgrounds. Wujimu was established on the belief of embracing multiculturalism at DePauw University through the intersection of identities that our sisters hold.

The seven founders' goal was to unify DePauw and be a bridge to various communities. MSU on DePauw's campus makes is very unique for many reasons. We are the FIRST multicultural sorority to come to DePauw as well as the first multicultural organization to join the National Panhellenic Council at DePauw when it first established. MSU at DePauw is now part of the Multicultural Greek Council since 2019. The vision of MSU at DePauw started in 2014, when our founding sisters wanted to share a space for all women on DePauw's campus. The visions of MSU aligned with the personal goals that the founders had and began the journey to create a new movement. It became a MUvement to embrace multiculturalism at DePauw University.
